CAREERS AT PREMIERE PREP

Premiere Prep is extremely selective and wants to ensure that we hire the best team. Our rigorous screening process guarantees that we continue providing exceptional service to our valued clients. Academic Consultant

 

 

Qualified Candidates:

      • Have earned at least a bachelor’s degree of higher
      • Graduate degree in education, teaching, or counseling (preferred, but not required)
      • Experience working with a diverse student population
      • Ability to develop a strong rapport and working relationship with students and parents

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • A minimum of 2 years in the education field
      • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills
      • Firm and caring personality to guide students and parents in a realistic and highly encouraging manner
      • Familiarity with the college application and admissions process
      • Knowledge of the UC/CSU A-G requirements
      • Admissions reader experience at major universities (preferred, but not required)

 

Academic Consultant Job Description:

We are currently seeking academic consultant who have the patience and dedication to grow this company to the next level by making a long-term commitment to students and their academic/personal success.

 

This position is ideal for someone who wants to work on a part-time or full-time basis. The academic consultant will have the flexibility and freedom to set and create their own schedule based upon their student caseload as assigned by management.

 

A comprehensive training program will be conducted to fully train and familiarize the academic consultant on Premiere Prep’s culture and curriculum. Though increasing the numbers of families and students that we work with is important, our main priority and goal is to make sure we provide awareness and information about our services and to make sure that Premiere Prep is a good fit for the families that we work with.

 

The following is an example of what is required from a Premiere Prep academic consultant:

      • Ability to drive to/from your client’s home or meeting location of choice
      • Excellent communication and delivery skills. Ability to elaborate on general/broad topics and themes and make it applicable to high school students and parents
      • Regular communication/follow-up to students and parents through email, text messages, Facebook, Twitter, or phone calls
      • Scheduling of your own sessions and appointments
      • Request and monitoring of bi-weekly grade checks for your students
      • Attendance during regular training sessions, staff development events, and team gatherings
      • Sensitivity and empathy towards various people and personalities
      • Other duties required/requested by management

      • Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099)
      • Ability to develop a strong rapport and working relationship with students and parents

      • Excellent communication and presentation skills
      • Firm and caring personality to guide students and parents in a realistic and highly encouraging manner
      • Admissions reader experience at major universities (preferred, but not required)

 

Senior Writing Specialist Job Description:

We are currently seeking Writing Specialists to support our high school students with resume revisions and essay writing for the college admissions process.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to work on a part-time/seasonal basis. Peak season is generally July-November. The Writing Specialist will have the flexibility and freedom to set and create their own schedule based upon their student caseload as assigned by management.

 

A comprehensive training program will be conducted to fully train and familiarize the Writing Specialist on Premiere Prep’s culture and curriculum. We want to make sure that Premiere Prep is a good fit for the families that we work with.

 

The following is an example of what is required from a Premiere Prep Writing Specialist:

 

      • Ability to drive to/from your client’s home or meeting location of choice (if needed)
      • Excellent communication and delivery skills. Ability to elaborate on general/broad topics and themes and make it applicable to high school students and parents
      • Regular communication/follow-up to students and parents through email, text messages, Facebook, Twitter, or phone calls
      • Scheduling of your own sessions and appointments
      • Skype/phone sessions (if needed)
      • Sensitivity and empathy towards various people and personalities

Summer Academy Camp Counselor

      • Housing experience or on-campus clubs/organizations (preferred, but not required)

      • Ability to develop a strong rapport and working relationship with students and parents

Summer Camp Job Description:

Premiere Prep hosts pre-college enrichment programs each summer at some of the nation’s top universities. Premiere Prep Summer Academy 2016 will be held at UCLA between July 17- July 23.

 

This position is ideal for someone who has a genuine passion working with students and promoting higher education.

 

A comprehensive training program will be conducted to fully train and familiarize Summer Camp Counselors on Premiere Prep’s culture and curriculum.

 

The following is an example of what is required from a Premiere Prep Summer Camp Counselor:

      • Able to attend all mandatory training sessions
      • Excellent communication and delivery skills.
      • Warm and empathetic personality
      • Attendance during regular training sessions, staff development events, and team gatherings
      • Sensitivity and empathy towards various people and personalities
      • Other duties required/requested by management
